The Recruitment Process
With our first contact with an applicant, we begin a series of procedures that determine the quality of interested candidates. We ensure candidates posses the appropriate education, training, background, and experience necessary to provide quality patient care. trustaff's Quality Assurance team will partner with your representatives to construct a focused skills evaluation to use with specific units in mind.

Prior to submittal, all candidates undergo screening processes conducted by our recruiting and account management teams. These procedures ensure candidates meet your professional and clinical needs by adapting general screening processes to conform to the policies and procedures of your facility.

The Quality Assurance Program
Trustaff is a Joint Commission certified professional healthcare staffing firm. We rely upon information from client facilities, licensure and registry boards, The Joint Commission, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and American with Disabilities Act (ADA) to set our quality assurance standards and procedures. Trustaff Quality Assurance retains all candidate and employee information in both hard and electronic copy in accordance with the Joint Commission guidelines. Our Account Management and Clinical Staff are on-call 24/7 to respond to any issues or service concerns from either clients or employees. For each placement with your facility, the trustaff Quality Assurance team will verify and provide the necessary documentation to meet client and regulatory requirements:

  • Current state licensure or state/national registration and/or certification.
  • BLS / CPR for Healthcare Provider/First Responder.
  • Advanced certification for specialty areas and advanced modalities.
  • Completion of at least one-year recent experience in the assigned area through a detailed work history.
  • Verification of appropriate education and/or professional training
  • Necessary medical history and immunization records.
  • Employee background screen.


Performance Improvement Activities
Trustaff continues to expand the performance improvement activities and quality monitoring procedures of its candidates:

  • Electronic tracking of expiration dates for licenses, certifications, registrations, and medical records.
  • Employees receive computer generated notifications for expiring licenses and certifications.
  • Follow up calls with employees to ensure receipt of expiring or missing documentation.
  • Quality Assurance team conducts weekly file audits and customer service audits of field employees.
  • Employee work history information frequently updated to represent current experience.
  • Facility evaluations of employee performance used in the employee’s annual performance evaluations.
  • Customer satisfaction surveys to evaluate policies and services.
