<strong>RN - PCU</strong><br /> <br />

1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.<br /> Full time position working 72 hours per two week pay period. Days of work are Sunday - Saturday on a day/night rotation. Hours and days of work are variable.<br /> Coordinates total nursing care for patients of all ages utilizing the nursing process; directs patient and family teaching; provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Telemetry, Dressing Changes, Vents/BIPAP, IV Starts.<br />
2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)<br /> Epic training, Omnicell, Liko and EZ lifts, Alaris IV pumps, Nova Statstrip blood glucose.<br />
3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.<br /> Minimum of 1 year experience in a stepdown ICU or Intermediate Care Unit required. Knowledge of cardiac-related medications and rhythm analysis and previous care of BIPAP patients preferred but not required.<br />
4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)<br /> ND State (or compact) Nursing license required. BLS required. ACLS required. ICU staff nurse position requires completion of a basic cardiology class for nurses and ACLS certification.<br />
5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)<br /> 12 HR Shifts, day/night rotation, including weekends<br />
6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)<br /> N/A<br />
7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.<br /> 23 bed Med/Surg/ICU<br />
8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)<br /> 1:1-3 ICU depending upon census and patient needs<br />
9. Dress Code:<br /> Black scrubs<br />
10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.<br /> 1 week Hospital and Department orientation will be provided<br />
