<strong>WI - RN - Pediatrics Float - Day/Night ($165/hr)</strong><br /> <br /> <em>**Traveler must meet all minimum requirements below to be<br /> consider. </em> <em> </em><br /> <em>**Do not submit traveler who have or will have expiring licenses and/or<br /> certifications during time frame of entire assignment. Traveler will<br /> automatically be declined. </em> <em> </em><br /> <br /> <em>**Only submit traveler who can work schedule in posting and interested<br /> in the unit. </em><br /> <br /> Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin!<br /> <br /> We are seeking a Registered Nurse <strong> who is flexible, positive and adaptable in order to support<br /> all units within the American Family Childrens Hospital to cover sick leave,<br /> unit acuity changes and leave of absences.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <strong><strong><strong> The nurses on this unit will:<br /> <br /> Support all units within the American Family Childrens<br /> Hospital to cover sick leaves, unit acuity changes and leave of absences.<br /> Provide care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents and<br /> families, coping with complex medical diagnosis and disease processes.<br /> <br /> Utilize a wide range of nursing and critical thinking skills<br /> to support the patients and families at American Family Childrens Hospital.<br /> <br /> <strong>Minimum Requirements: </strong><br /> <br /> • Facility Requirement:<br /> <br /> • Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (address must be included in traveler's profile).<br /> <br /> • Experience:<br /> <br /> • Pediatric experience required.<br /> <br /> • Traveler must have tracheotomy and ventilator experience.<br /> <br /> • Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.<br /> <br /> • Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.<br /> <br /> • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks) preferred.<br /> <br /> • Licensure and Certification:<br /> <br /> • Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state. <em> *Will consider candidates without WI or compact license but must apply for a permanent and temporary license under Wisconsin Act 10 order within 48 hours of offer accepted and provide screenshot of application submitted. Traveler must complete this requirement prior to being cleared to start. </em><br /> <br /><em> BLS - must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY </em><br /> <br /> • Reference<br /> <br /> • Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).<br /> <br /> • Telemetry<br /> <br /> • Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start assignment. (Not for clinic positions)<br /> <br /> • Telemetry Competency: PedsTelemetry Competency: (Please note the Inpatient/Outpatient OR RNs do not complete telemetry). All agency travelers must demonstrate competency in interpretation of cardiac rhythms before your orientation begins. Previous completion of PALS, ACLS, etc. is not acceptable as a demonstration of this competency. Instead, you will be expected to satisfactorily complete a 20 question test which consists of multiple choice questions and write-in rhythm identification. You must pass with an overall score of 80% and correctly identify 100% of the 4 life-threatening rhythms for your patient population (adult or peds). If there are any questions, please refer to earlier communication from UWHC to your agency.<br /> <br /> • Floating<br /> <br /> • T ravelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization . During the travelers assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.<br /> <br /> <strong>Location: </strong> American Family Children's Hospital, 1675 HIGHLAND AVE, Madison, WI<br /> <br /> <strong>Parking: </strong> Permit<br /> required through UW Transportation. </strong></strong></strong></strong><br />
