Lab techs will draw morning labs for patients that don t have lines. EKG is completed by the PCT or the RN. Sheaths are only pulled in ICU and Cath lab at this time but we do groin site management and TR band deflations/monitoring. Transport can be tricky. If pt is not on drips and we have transport then they can take the patient for tests. Sometimes the RN will have to transport the patient. Additional Unit Specific Information: We have continuous telemetry monitoring. RT is available 24hrs as the same as the rest of the hospital. There is an on call overnight Anesthesia that s in the hospital. Pulmonology is the MD s that run the vents. We do have a lot of BIPAP pts . They are ran buy the hospitalist and pulmonology.
