Arkansas Children s Hospital is a 359 bed, trauma 1, teaching hospital. www.arcchildrens.org MUST TEST NEGATIVE FOR NICOTINE Prior travel experience is required; must have 2 years of clinical experience in the specialty. PALS and CPN are preferred. Ratios: 1:3-4 on all shifts. Ancillary assistance: 1 PCT per shift. Floating is required to other pediatric units. Traveler are first to float. RNs should expect 2-3 days of orientation and specialty testing for the facility. ACH Dress Code must be followed and is available in Client Documents on the Compliance tab of this requisition. EMR is EPIC. Scheduling by manager or scheduler; no self scheduling. No on call requirements. Every other weekend is required, unless posted as a weekend option. Holidays required, as needed. Patient population: Core staff will usually take the specialty patients 4C - CF/respiratory, renal, GI, Gen medical surgical 4D neurology/EEG, neurosurgery. EVD management, autism Average length of patient stays: varies from 24 hrs. to 2 weeks Age Range: differs on the units and type of diagnoses 4B (12-21): 4C (birth-12); 4D (all ages) Average length of patient stay: general med-surg patients: overnight 1 month Equipment: Pyxis Respiratory available for support. Patient Schooling Process: Child Life and Education Specialists actively involved in evaluation each patient for unique school/education needs during prolonged hospitalization. Comment:Peds Nurses needed! 1-2YRS exp. Travel exp required. Will float to all Med Sug units if needed. 12 DAYS 3 12'S M-Sun 7A-7P. Must have Covid vaccination in submission.
