1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.<br /> Primary care of acute care patients in med/surg tele unit<br />
2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)<br /> We use EPIC for EMR & Omnicell for ADC (automated dispensing cabinets)<br />
3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.<br /> 1 year of telemetry or progressive care experience<br />
4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)<br /> BLS & ACLS<br />
5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)<br /> 0630-1900 or 1830-0700; Seeking full-time three 12 hour shifts per week; no call; rotating weekends (every other or every third)<br />
6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)<br /> no<br />
7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.<br /> 144-bed department; Blend of monitored and non-monitored medical and surgical patients<br />
8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 1:4; 1 nurse - 4 patients (DAY SHIFT AND NIGHT SHIFT!)<br />
9. Dress Code:<br /> Scrubs (Eskenazi colors: Navy, Black, Pewter/Gray)<br />
10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.<br /> Hospital orientation and computer based training (1-2 days), Floor orientation (2 days)<br />
