<strong>ER Registered Nurse</strong><br /> <br /> Traveler must be flexible on hours, will work days and possibly nIghts, 8, 10 or 12 hours depending on need.<br /> Position: ER RN - Varied Shifts; Primarily Nights<br /> Start Date: ASAP<br /> Assignment Duration: 13 weeks<br /> Shift Times/Schedule: Varied - will work both Days and Nights - Shift: Varied - 8, 10 or 12 hours depending on need<br /> Licensure: OH RN Required<br /> Certifications: Active ACLS, PALS, and TCNN Required<br /> Weekend/On Call Requirements: Call Expectations: Yes, possibly 2 per four week schedule ; Weekend rotation & Holiday coverage will be expected<br /> Floating Requirements: May float to Jackson if needed<br /> Additional Notes: JOB SUMMARY:<br /> The Registered Nurse will work under the supervision of the Unit Manager following the American Nurses Association (ANA) standards of practice, and code of ethics (see attachment) within a Patient and Family Centered Care Model. These standards include:<br /> PRIMARY JOB DUTIES<br /> Assessment- collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or the situation.<br /> Nursing diagnosis- analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnoses or issues.<br /> Outcomes identification- identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation.<br /> Planning- develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.<br /> Implementation- implements the identified plan.<br /> Coordination of care (delegating)<br /> Health teaching and health promotion<br /> Evaluation- evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.<br /> ANA Standards of Professional Practice:<br /> Quality of practice- systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.<br /> Education- attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice.<br /> Professional practice evaluation- evaluates ones own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.<br /> Collegiality- interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.<br /> Collaboration- collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.<br /> Ethics-integrated ethical provisions in all areas of practice.<br /> Research-integrates research findings into practice.<br /> Resource utilization-considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the planning and delivery of nursing services.<br /> Leadership-provides leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.<br /> Patient and Family Centered Care -Dignity and respect, Information sharing,<br /> Participation, Collaboration<br /> Performs other duties as assigned.
