<strong>TRAVEL - RN - CVICU - COST CENTER (635) / 7:00AM - 7:00PM</strong><br /> <br /> <br /> TRAVEL - RN - CVICU - COST CENTER (635) / 7:00AM - 7:00PM<br /> <br /> <strong>Hospital: Central Florida Regional Hospital </strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Location: Sanford, FL</strong><br /> <br /> Address: 1401 West Seminole Blvd<br /> Unit: CVICU 635<br /> <br /> Building:<br /> <br /> <strong>General Information</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Unit Specifics:</strong> <em> </em><br /> • Number of Beds : 12-beds<br /> • Patient Ratios : 1-1, 1-2, 1-3 (depends on patient acuity)<br /> • Unit staffing description- (Charge nurse typically out of the numbers, unit secretary available on most days, staff RNs) :<br /> • Type of equipment : Phillips monitoring system, Edwards Hemosphere, Alaris IV pumps<br /> • Documentation system: Meditech<br /> • Scheduling requirements: Rotating weekends (weekends are considered F, Sa, Sun)<br /> • Floating policy: May be required to float outside of the department for hospital needs (e.g., ICU, step-down ICU, PCU)<br /> • Patient Experience requirements: Exceptional bedside manner, able to communicate effectively with patients and families, able to multi-task and interact with other members of the interdisciplinary team.<br /> <strong>Hospital Specifics-</strong><br /> • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS<br /> <br /> <strong>Hiring profile</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Requested Skill Set: Cardiac / Intensive care experience required, experience with cardio-thoracic patients (e.g., STEMIs, CABG, VATs, Valves, Ablations, Vents, Vasopressos, and other medications/procedures typically found in a cardiac intensive care unit)</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Must have </strong> : FL RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS<br /> <br /> <strong>Advanced skills needed: Able to safely care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, titrate vasoactive medications and other drips as required to maintain hemodynamic parameters and/or sedation requirements, competent in recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing advanced access devices (e.g., a-line, CVCs, Swan-ganz catheters, etc.), working in a team atmosphere, and working collaboratively with members of the interdisciplinary team.</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Procedures performed on unit: </strong> CABG, AVR, TAVR, Watchman, A-fib cardiac ablations, VATS, PCI with stent, Hemodynamic support with IABP and Impella devices, etc.<br /> <br /> <strong>Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS</strong><br /> <br /> <br /> <strong>Dress Code</strong> : (Required uniform)<br /> • Navy scrubs<br /> <br /> <strong>Unit Guidelines/Policies</strong> : <em> Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.</em><br /><br /> <br /> <strong>Awards/Recognition: </strong> <em> Please include anything that you would like prospective candidates to be aware of, such as, links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards.. </em><br /><br /> <br /> <strong>Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: </strong> <em> Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. </em><br /> • The nurses in the unit work extremely well with one another, are welcoming to new members, and strive to provide the best care possible for our patients.<br /> <br /> Facility Overview:<br /> Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.
