#RecruiterTakeover: Lorna Roberts

Lorna Roberts is a top-notch Recruiter here at trustaff and this week she had the opportunity to take over our all social media accounts! She ran the show and shared a lot of fun stuff about herself and her career as a recruiter. Learn more about her and get an inside look at the faces behind the phone calls.

Tell us about yourself

Hi everyone! I’m Lorna. I’ve been a Recruiter with trustaff for almost four years. I have a little yorkie named Sherlock. I don’t have any kids but I have the most adorable 3-year-old nephew who I talk about all the time. I enjoy hanging out with my friends on the weekends.

When I’m home you’ll find me on the couch watching Netflix, playing board games, or reading a book. I am a workaholic, but when you peel me away from my phone I do enjoy wine and margaritas now and then.

What do you do in your spare time?

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love hanging out with my puppy (Sherlock). I like to stay active with yoga, hiking, and skiing when the weather cooperates. I am also a huge foodie. I love cooking and trying new restaurants.

Where is your favorite place to travel?

I love going to new places, but one place I visit over and over is Orlando, FL. I love theme parks. I go to either Disney World or Universal Studios about once a year. I’m a huge Harry Potter fan so Universal is probably my favorite place.

What would you say is your proudest accomplishment?

My proudest accomplishment to date is graduating from college. I have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from the University of Cincinnati. Go Bearcats!

What is your favorite part about working for trustaff?

My favorite part about working for trustaff is that the company is family owned and operated. Whenever a new nurse comes on board with us, I always tell them, “Welcome to the trustaff family!” I love the relationships that I get to build with the nurses I work with. My Mom, aunt, and uncle all work here so it’s cool getting to work with my family.

If you were a traveling nurse, where would your dream assignment be?

If I was a traveling nurse, I’d probably be one to jump from state to state so I could see them all! I love the west so if I had to pick one place it would probably be Seattle, WA. I’ve never been there and I’ve heard nothing but good things. They’re supposed to have the best coffee and great hiking…the pay rates are great there too.

Each month, we invite a member of the trustaff team to take over our social media channels. #RecruiterTakeover is an inside look at the people who make trustaff such a great place to work.

It’s a great way to learn more about trustaff, get tips for your travel career, and most importantly, put some faces with the names and personalities you hear every day. See you next month!
