<strong>RN - Tele (Cardio Thoracic) - SFMC</strong><br /> <br /> General job duties. Types of procedures required. Assessing and medicating patients. Will recover cath lab pts and thoracic patients.<br /> Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EPIC Charting, Med Pyxis<br /> Required skills and minimum years of experience. 2 years and Telemetry Trained<br /> Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. BLS, ACLS, IL license<br /> Shift or schedule requirements.<br /> 3 12hr nights.<br /> Every other weekend (Saturday / Sunday on Day Shift and either Friday / Saturday or Saturday / Sunday on night shift to follow unit patterns)<br /> Every other Holiday (Days holidays are: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Nights holidays are: Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, Memorial Day Eve, the 3rd of July Nights, and Labor day Eve)<br /> Floating to other units/departments. 1. Inpatient (ICU, Step Down, Tele, Med-Surg) External Agency nurses will float prior to Core nurses floating.<br />
2. External Agency Nurses are competent to float: ? ICU Nurses can float to Step down with full assignment and can float to Tele and Med-Surg with assignment of 4-5 patients on days and 5-6 patients on nights ? Step Down and Tele nurses can float to Med-Surg with full assignment (customarily 4-5 days and 5-6 nights, occasionally higher or lower based on acuity and coverage levels) ? Med-Surg nurses can float to like level of care units with full assignments<br />
3. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 70 beds<br />
4. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 7p-11p 1:4-5 and 11p-7a 1:5-6<br />
