<strong>Travel RN - PCU - (CC 633) - 7PM-7AM</strong><br /> <br /> <br /> THIS POSITION ONLY IS APPROVED FOR $90 BILL RATE. 1/13/2023<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <strong>Hospital: </strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Location: Summit Medical Center </strong><br /> <br /> Address: 5655 Frist Boulevard<br /> Unit Name: PCU<br /> <br /> Building:<br /> Cost Center: 630/633<br /> <br /> <strong>General Information </strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Unit Specifics: </strong> <em> </em><br /> • Number of Beds : 630 has 34 beds/ 633 has 25<br /> • Patient Ratios : 1:4 to 1:5 on days, 1:5 to 1:6 on nights<br /> • Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 3 techs when full on 630 and 2 techs when full on 633<br /> • Type of equipment : bipaps, high flow o2, vapotherm, alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis. Wound vacs in conjunction with wound care<br /> • Documentation system: Meditech<br /> • Scheduling requirements: every other weekend requirement for contract, 3 12 hour shifts a week<br /> • Floating policy: may have to float in between PCU units or float to med-surg floors<br /> • Patient Experience requirements: hourly rounding on days, every 2 hour rounding on nights, AIDET and keeping up with communication boards on 7th floor. Dept 633 has tv communication boards.<br /> <strong>Hospital Specifics- </strong><br /> • Certifications: BLS, ACLS<br /> <br /> <strong>Hiring profile </strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Requested Skill Set: </strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Must have </strong> : Critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drip, insulin drip and heparin drip experience. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred and peripheral iv skills.<br /> <br /> <strong>Advanced skills needed: ACLS. Experience with bipaps, high flow 02 and multiple oxygen delivery systems. Experience with stroke and post cardiac cath care. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred. Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes. </strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Procedures performed on unit: </strong> Peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, dobhoff/NG tube insertions, central line dressing changes. Trouble shooting wound vacs<br /> <br /> <strong>Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS </strong><br /> <br /> <br /> <strong>Dress Code </strong> : (Required uniform)<br /> • Black Scrubs<br /> <br /> <strong>Unit Guidelines/Policies </strong> : <em> Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.</em><br /> •<br /> <br /> <strong>Awards/Recognition: </strong> <em> Please include anything that you would like prospective candidates to be aware of, such as, links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards.. </em><br /> •<br /> <br /> <strong>Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: </strong> <em> Unit does self scheduling.
