Something savory

You’ve been exploring, and now you’re ready for a great meal! Stop by New Scenic Café. Because they use local, organic products whenever possible, this menu is constantly changing and will always be something new to discover.

New Scenic Café not only sits along the coast, but also features a beautiful garden and artwork from local artists. Their artwork changes like their menu, so each experience is almost like visiting a different restaurant.

“Nice place to stop for a meal if you are traveling up the scenic route north of Duluth. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The staff is attentive and service very good.” – Dorothy B.

“Nice place along scenic highway 61. Menu changes seasonally and the chefs do a great job on the presentation. Will have something for nearly every taste.” – Cory K.

“A stylized Scandinavian ‘cabin’ overlooking the shores of Lake Superior. They offer limited menus of surprising combinations for their entrees. As well, they have a few traditional staples to choose from such as a chicken sandwich or burger. But these too are surprising. I went with the burger, which caused a family dispute… after I said it was perhaps the best burger I’ve ever had. I was with my sister and she owns a Supper Club. WELL worth the drive!” – Mark C.

Something sweet

If you’re ready to treat your sweet tooth, visit Positively 3rd Street Bakery. Worker-owned since 1983, Positively 3rd Street Bakery delivers incredible sweets using organic and local ingredients. They provide gluten-free and vegan options, so it’s the perfect place, even for a large group or picky eaters.

From cookies to croutons, this bakery has something for everyone to enjoy, sweet tooth or not!

“My wife and I moved into the area less than a year ago from a much larger city in another state, and 3rd Street Bakery beats every bakery in that city. The employees are kind and have been willing to answer any question we’ve thrown at them. The croissants… they’re legit. We’ve never had a bad experience here. Keep up the good work!” – Kurt H.

“All of the ingredients are listed in their completeness, there are even vegan cookies, lots of varieties of bread, one kind even fast safe, and delicious croissants. Freshly baked, with amazing staff that are friendly and knowledgeable. They also make it a point to be accepting of all people, which is an awesome plus.” – Elena L.

“We mentioned it was our first time in and Cody happily walked through all of our options with us. We walked away with an assortment of breakfast goodies, cookies and an order for a friend to be delivered next week. Everything we had was deemed the best bakery items we’ve had in MN by my husband and kids-the noises at our table were pure enjoyment! We can’t wait to come back and make this a regular stop on our Duluth/North Shore adventures!!” – Jill V.
