Where to eat in Cooperstown, NY: Toscana
Toscana is a tasteful, charming bistro that serves some amazing Italian food. You’ll definitely want to try the chicken marsala. The presentation of the food will blow you away. The city locals absolutely love the food and those visiting loved it too.
“First time eating here and will definitely come back! The bread was flavorful, hot, fresh out of the oven. Our dinners and dessert were beyond our expectations. The waitstaff was attentive and excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.”
“Great food and good house wines too! The food is freshly prepared and tasty, and fit for foodies. And some of the best bread anywhere! Prices are quite reasonable for the quality. We look forward to visiting every time we come back to Cooperstown. The only negatives here are that they cram lots of tables in, so you’re quite close to your neighbor. As a result, it’s a fairly noisy place”
“Stopped here tonight after a day in Cooperstown. The owner is LOVELY; he made us feel right at home and took the time to chat with us a few times throughout the night. Our waiter was great – super on the ball. The food was delicious. We started with the Roman Caesar salad which was perfect – not overdressed, the egg was just runny enough and the pancetta was crispy but not too crunchy. My partner had the Ahi tuna special (generous portion) which was paired perfectly with zucchini noodles and papaya(I think?). For dessert, we shared the creme brûlée which was among the best I’ve had. The space was cozy, charming and well decorated; it is small but I had no problem hearing my partner and did not feel cramped at all. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in the area! Such a good find!”
Where to get dessert in Cooperstown, NY: Schneider’s Bakery
Grab some delicious cupcakes and an assortment of donuts. Schneider’s Bakery has been providing Cooperstown with delicious desserts since 1887. Their reviews are absolutely outstanding and our mouths are watering just writing this.
“Everything about this place is terrific. The coffee is always good. The atmosphere is inviting and clean. And the help is always friendly. There is one particular employee who has a warmth and joy that is contagious. She always smiles and greets with a genuine kindness. She is an asset to this business, for sure.”
“Delicious bakery. I think our team parents tried just about everything & we were so happy to have found a real bakery! We tried the lemon square, chocolate chip cookies, vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting, & a chocolate peanut butter cookie. The lemon square I received wasn’t very lemony. I couldn’t see much filling in it, but it was sweet and the pastry was very tender. The cookies were perfect. My husband – the cupcake connoisseur – was very pleased with his selection. I wish I’d have been able to buy a loaf of bread. It looked so fresh & soft.”
“Great old fashion bakery with delicious pastries! We walked in for donuts- which were outstanding, and left with almost every kind of cookie(the chocolate are killer) and cinnamon rolls which are incredible warmed up! Really a great little find!”
