trustaff Traveler Spotlight: Breanna C.

We think Breanna was born to be a traveling nurse. She has such a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever she is needed. She’s ready to jump in at a moment’s notice and that’s what we love about her!

Every facility has had nothing but amazing things to say about their time with her. Breanna is slowly but surely making her way across the country and we are honored that she chose us to partner with her on her journey.

Her recruiter Emily Carey nominated her for the spotlight. Emily said, “Ahhhh Breanna, one of my travelers that I will forever hold near and dear to my heart. This girl knows what she wants, well most times. She is stubborn, strong-minded, and a top-notch nurse!!! She is the ideal traveler we want representing trustaff!! It’s not every day you get to meet one of your travelers but meeting this girl just solidified the bond and working relationship we have as a recruiter and a travel nurse! Looking forward to her coming back to the trustaff office next month!

Tell us about YOU! Where are you from? Family? Friends? Pets?

I am from Centerburg, Ohio. I am a small-town girl who never thought I would leave my small town to go travel the world. I started my travel career in April 2017, and it was the best decision of my life!

Why did you decide to go into healthcare?

As a patient and as a family member observer, I have had bad nurses and good nurses in the past. It was always my dream to be that good nurse for everyone.

What prompted you to start traveling?

I have always wanted to see the world and I was in a perfect spot in life to go and do that. I took full advantage of the opportunity.

What was your first assignment like?

My first assignment was scary, intimidating, but 14 weeks full of experience. Your first assignment will always be near and dear to your heart, whether it was good or bad.

What’s your favorite thing about traveling?

The flexibility and random adventures.

What is the most challenging part about traveling? How do you overcome it?

The most challenging part for me was being away from my family. FaceTime is a lifesaver!

How many assignments have you taken and where?

I usually extend every assignment that I’ve been to. My first assignment was in Dallas, Texas. And then I was in Reno, Nevada for six months. Now I am currently in Greenville, South Carolina for my extension.

What advice would you have for someone who is thinking about starting their travel career?

Just take the leap and do it. Despite everything you’re doubting. Just do it.
