#trustaffTraveler Spotlight: Hayley L.

We love getting to work with Hayley! She is such a hard worker and the facilities love to have her. She travels all over the country with her husband and family in an RV. They love to get to see all the different parts of the country together. Her recruiter, Stephen James, nominated her for this spotlight. He said, “Hayley is great to work with. She gets to all her assignments with a smile on her face and pure excitement. Every job is an adventure and I love getting to watch her and her family explore and do what they love.”

Tell us about YOU! Where are you from? Family? Friends? Pets?

I am a native south Floridian of 47 years. I am married to Robert, have a grown son, Christian who is 24, and 3 furbaby kitties that travel with us! Robert and I travel in our RV with the kitties, and this lifestyle is perfect for us! We enjoy traveling and being able to experience so many new places and meet so many wonderful people. We take as many trips locally in each area to participate in ghost tours and the history of our amazing country.

Why did you decide to go into healthcare?

I went into this field 27 years ago when I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my life. I figured it would be a good stepping stone to something else. Once I finished school and took my first job, I knew this was what I would do as my forever career. I love the challenge and helping people get back to their lives healthy and happy.

What prompted you to start traveling?

After a family move to SC, we just were not happy with the area or our jobs. We had bought a used RV for weekends, and when I suggested it to my hubby, he was on board! Having a support network with your spouse and kids is so important to make this life successful.

What was your first assignment like?

My first assignment was amazing! Steve James and Marcia Blythe, a trustaff front end recruiter, made it so easy to get everything done that I needed for onboarding. We loved the area and my coworkers so much, we extended for another assignment, and even went back a year later to do one more assignment!

What’s your favorite thing about traveling?

Our favorite thing is seeing the country. All the sightseeing we can squeeze in, we do! We do ghost tours and read up on the history of every place we go to.

What is the most challenging part about traveling? How do you overcome it?

Being away from my family is the hardest. We fly my son and Robert’s daughter to where we are as often as we can. And my mother decided to follow us with her RV, which has been such a blessing. She isn’t getting younger, as she says, and being able to be with her all the time is amazing.

How many assignments have you taken and where?

I’ve taken 3 assignments in Mountain Home, AR. 1 assignment in Lubbock, TX, 1 assignment in Gallup, NM, 1 assignment in Lebanon, PA, 1 assignment in Roanoke, VA. 1 assignment in Las Vegas, NV, and 2 assignments in Prescott, AZ.

What advice would you have for someone who is thinking about starting their travel career?

Just do it! Jump in and start enjoying your career to its fullest. Your team is there to help you whenever you need them, and I am always willing to talk to new recruits to share our experience and knowledge to help them.
