Take a moment to get to know Patti and learn a little bit about her travel experience.
Tell us about YOU! Where are you from? Family? Friends? Pets?
I’m from Arkansas. I’m married to a very supportive man named Larry. I have 5 grown children, 10 1/2 grandkids, 4 dogs, and a cat who rules the house.
Why did you decide to go into healthcare?
In 97′ I went into EMS and worked on an ambulance until my back said no more! LOL! Then I became an RN through a paramedic-to-RN program in Little Rock, AR.
What prompted you to start traveling?
The ability to work when I wanted. Better pay, quality of life, and RV travelling.
What was your first assignment like?
Very busy and scary. But exciting, too.
What’s your favorite thing about traveling?
Change. There is always something new to learn and somewhere new to bring your skill set to someone who needs it.
What is the most challenging part about traveling?
Leaving my family.
How many assignments have you taken and where?
Many in Texas, Arkansas, and Tennessee.
What advice would you have for someone who is thinking about starting their travel career?
Jump in and don’t let one bad assignment jade. The next one will be better!
