Peter has done some amazing work recently and his recruiters, Kristina & Jerry, sent him our way. We asked him to sit down and let us get to know him a little better.
In between shifts, he answered a few questions about his life and career as a nurse. Take a look at what he shared!
Tell us about YOU! Where are you from? Family? Friends? Pets?
I’m originally from Zimbabwe, I came to the States in 1998 been here ever since, including my whole immediate family, mother, father, etc.
Why did you decide to go into healthcare?
I enjoy taking care of sick people. I wake up every morning with a mindset thinking, “What can I do for my fellow man?” Making a difference & the notion that I work in healthcare makes it all worth it.
What prompted you to start traveling?
Wanted to gain more experience.
What’s your favorite thing about traveling?
Learning new ways of doing things & caring for people.
What is the most challenging part about traveling? How do you overcome it?
Adjusting can be hard at times, learning new ways can be stressful.
How many assignments have you taken and where?
So far 2: Marietta, Ohio, where I extended 2 times, and now Cleveland, Ohio on my second extension.
What advice would you have for someone who is thinking about starting their travel career?
There’s so much to see & so much to learn.
