- Moss Mansion: Enjoy a snapshot of history by visiting the Moss Mansion. Built in 1903 for the Moss family, it features state-of-the-art architecture for that time period. The tour lets you explore the life of one of Billings’ earliest entrepreneurs and his family through preserved letters and other documents. It’s a great way to see the foundation the city was built upon.
- ZooMontana: If you’re looking for a zoo that puts the safety and care of the animals above all else, visit ZooMontana. This nonprofit zoological/botanical garden believes in giving back and educating the community, as well as giving the best care to their over 80 animals. From the African pygmy hedgehog to the wolverine, there are so many animals to learn about!
- Pictograph Cave State Park: Home to generations of prehistoric hunters, Pictograph Cave State Park is a snapshot of history. Composed of the Pictograph, Middle, and Ghost Caves, visitors take a trail that leads to over 100 rock paintings, the oldest of which is dated at over 2,000 years old. The loop trail includes interpretive displays to assist in identifying and explaining the prehistoric paintings, natural features, and vegetation found in the area.
