#RecruiterTakeover: Meet Lead Recruiter Cindy H.

Cindy Hunter is one of our hardest working recruiters. She’s been with trustaff for over 10 years! She took over our social media accounts for an entire week and shared some of her incredible experiences and stories from her loyal travelers. Take a look at what she shared with us over the course of the week below!

Q: Tell us about you!

My name is Cindy Hunter and I’ll be taking over the trustaff social media accounts this week for the #RecruiterTakeover. To kick off the week, I’ll share a little bit about myself. I have been recruiting at trustaff for 10 years. My family is very important to me. I came from a very large family (1 of 7 children, 2 brothers, 4 sisters). My mother is 89 and is still with us! She has 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. I am the mother of 3 amazing children, all grown. Alexandria, Samantha, her husband Brian, and my 2 grandchildren, Emily and Aaron, and my son Max, and his wife Kourtney.

Family time includes all the family gathering with my siblings, nieces & nephews or just visiting with my mother and reminiscing about childhood and family memories. I have an artistic and creative side and enjoy working on home projects. I own power tools and know how to use them! I completely overhauled my deck and landing, did all my own landscaping and gardening and love to refinish furniture and help decorate/update houses. I also love to cook and bake and a family favorite is a homemade jam. I have 2 dogs, Baron and Ellie Mae.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about working at trustaff and why?

I love my co-workers! We work as a team to get things done and everyone is always willing to help and go that extra mile to make things work. Plus I love the camaraderie and friendships that have developed over the years.

Left to right: Katie, Ryan, Kelly, Ken, Cindy, Kristina

Q: What would you describe as your proudest moment at trustaff?

Other than being promoted to Team Lead, my proudest moments come from my travelers. Their trust and loyalty are what I value most and to receive their gratitude and appreciation is the greatest compliment. They put their lives and livelihood in my hands and I take that to heart.

Q: What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

The long-term relationships I develop with my travelers. They truly become a member of my extended family. It is not about what jobs are available or their next assignment, it is more about what is in their best interest and finding the right job to fit their needs. I sincerely love and appreciate my travelers. They are my friends and family!

Q: Favorite place to travel and why?:

1st stop- Phoenix AZ to see my daughter Samantha, Brian and my 2 amazing and talented grandchildren, Emily and Aaron. We might take a trip to the Grand Canyon or to Sedona (it is so beautiful there) while I’m there or just hang out and play games or lounge around their pool. I love any place that has sun, warm temperatures, a beach and the ocean plus I love anything outdoors, lush green forests or being in the mountains. Aruba is one of my favorite places to visit. The weather is perfect!

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to cook, bake, spend time with family, be creative and physical, work around the house, garden, go to dinner or entertain and I love music and concerts and anything outdoors.

Q: Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?

Wonder Woman. Need I say more?!?!

Q: Top 5 favorite songs to listen to at work:

Most of the time I am not even aware of the music playing at work, however, I love all genres of music so you might hear me humming or singing out loud to anything from the 70’s, 80’s or the top 20! I do enjoy watching The Voice!

Q: What random tip do you have for travelers?

Your recruiter is your lifeline! We are the ones that make sure everything goes smoothly on your assignment and it is our job to set you up for success. If our travelers are happy and successful on their assignments, it is a win-win for all parties involved, the traveler, facility, and agency. If you have concerns, speak up! We are your biggest advocate!

Cindy has a ton of experience helping travelers find their dream assignments. If you would like to reach out to Cindy, she would love to help you too!
