#RecruiterTakeover: Ryan Slandzicki

Recruiter Ryan Slandzicki took over all our trustaff social accounts last week and we had a blast getting to know him! Did you know he met his fiancee right here at trustaff? They get married in less than a month! Learn more about him and get an inside look at the faces behind the phone calls.

Introduce yourself!

Hey guys! I’m Ryan and I’ve been recruiting with trustaff for a little over five years. I’m about to get married (in March) to the love of my life and we have one adorable pup. I love craft breweries and traveling to new places to try the local offerings. Baseball and travel are two things I absolutely love and there is nothing better than combining a trip to see a ballgame in a new city with trying the local craft breweries.

What’s on your bucket list?

If I could do anything in the world, I have so many items on a list I would want to cross off. Be the lead singer of a rock band, head brewer for a day, baseball player knocking in the winning run, or an attorney that just won a big case. The list goes on!

Where’s your favorite place to travel?

My favorite place to travel is definitely, Arizona- the mountains and spring training baseball. We are actually getting married in AZ and going to spring training for our honeymoon.

What’s your favorite part about working for trustaff?

My favorite part of trustaff is that I met my fiancée here. We get married on 3/16, almost a month from now! We played the Almost tru-lywed Game and Jamie quizzed us. Check it out!

If you could give travelers one piece of advice, what would it be?

My advice to travelers would be to listen to your Onboarding Specialist (my fiancée made me say this lol) But really, just approach each assignment with an open mind. Not every ER/ICU/Unit is going to be run the same way. Be prepared to take the skills you have and best utilize them within the unit, even if they do things a little differently than you’re used to. A little flexibility goes a long way and will make your assignment more fun.

If you were a traveling nurse, where would you want to take an assignment?

If I were a traveling nurse, I would want to go to Arizona. I love the state and have visited many times with so much more to see. The way the mountains and cacti look when you drive down I-10 for the first time will take your breath away. There is just something about the energy and vibe of the desert that I am drawn to.

Reach out to Ryan if you have more questions about him or travel nursing! He’d be happy to help you get started.

Each month, we invite a member of the trustaff team to take over our social media channels. #RecruiterTakeover is an inside look at the people who make trustaff such a great place to work.

It’s a great way to learn more about trustaff, get tips for your travel career, and most importantly, put some faces with the names and personalities you hear every day. See you next month!
