Hello,👋 I’m Virgil. I’m originally from Elizabethtown, KY and I am currently travel nursing with my girlfriend, Steph. I also have a 28 y/o daughter named Stephanie.

Why did you decide to go into healthcare?

I was an Army medic, a lot of my Army medic friends went into nursing after the Army so I decided to give it a shot as well.

What prompted you to start traveling?

Travel nursing was an early goal during nursing school, it was a matter of life circumstances that finally opened the door of opportunity.

What was your first assignment like?

Wray, Colorado. I really enjoyed it!

What’s your favorite thing about traveling?

Just a drive in the country can be a beautiful adventure.

What is the most challenging part about traveling? How do you overcome it?

Being away from family back home… Facebook is a good way to share your experience with others.

How many assignments have you taken and where?

I am on my first assignment, but I like it so much I extended my contract here in Wray, Colorado.

What advice would you have for someone who is thinking about starting their travel career?

Take a friend… You won’t be lonely and you’ll have someone to share the adventure.
