Travel MRI Tech Requirements

There is a growing demand for MRI professionals. To be considered for travel assignments with Trustaff, you will need to have at least one or two years of recent experience. Another basic professional requirement is an active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 U.S. states.

Since you will be traveling from one location to the next, having an enthusiastic and adventurous spirit will serve you well in this profession. Keep in mind that depending on the specific facility or unit you'll be working at, you may need some additional requirements and certifications. However, we can help you acquire them.

MRI Tech Job Description

Working as an MRI tech, or MRI technologist, means you'll be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging scanners. These scanners are used to take images of patients' bodies, providing physicians with the necessary diagnostic images they need to offer accurate treatments.

While obtaining these diagnostic images, you'll complete other tasks and responsibilities, ranging from taking patients' medical histories to keeping them calm, informed and comfortable throughout the procedure.

Traveling MRI Tech Job Duties

An MRI tech is a type of radiologist technician who is responsible for taking accurate scans of patients according to the physician's instructions. These images help determine which treatment plan would work best for each patient. You'll need to ensure your patients are correctly positioned inside the MRI scanner and follow all safety measures. Knowing how to use the equipment properly is crucial to being able to capture the right image.

As a traveler, you'll work at a specific location and then move on. Because you aren't permanently serving in one healthcare setting, this career path lets you fully embrace variety and adaptability as you constantly explore somewhere new.
