Want to work as a nurse in Colorado? The state of Colorado currently only offers a permanent nursing license option, so you'll need to apply for your permanent license. Colorado is part of the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). If you are currently licensed in another eNLC participating state, you are eligible to work in Colorado without getting a CO nursing license.

Temporary Colorado Nursing License

Temporary nursing licenses are currently not offered in the state of Colorado.

Permanent Colorado Nursing License

In order to get your permanent nursing license in the state of Colorado, you will need to apply to the state board and pay a fee of $43. Once all your application requirements are met, and if everything checks out, you will usually receive your permanent Colorado nursing license within about 6 weeks.
