Want to work as a nurse in Montana? The state of Montana currently only offers a permanent nursing license option, so you'll need to apply for your permanent license. However, Montana is part of the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). If you are currently licensed in another eNLC participating state, you are eligible to work in Montana without getting a MT nursing license.
Temporary nursing licenses are currently not offered in the state of Montana.
In order to get your permanent nursing license in the state of Montana, you will need to apply to the state board and pay a fee of $200. Once all your application requirements are met, and if everything checks out, you will usually receive your permanent Montana nursing license within 4-6 weeks.
