The state of New York currently only offers permanent nursing licenses, and they are not part of the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC), so you will need to obtain a permanent license to work there. New York is not currently participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) licensure exchange.
Temporary nursing licenses are not currently offered in the state of New York.
In order to get your permanent nursing license in the state of New York, you will need to apply to the state board and pay a fee of $143. Once all your application requirements are met, and if everything checks out, you will usually receive your permanent New York nursing license within 4-6 weeks.
