Travel Cardiovascular Tech Jobs
As a cardiovascular tech, your primary role is to conduct diagnostic tests on a patient's pulmonary or cardiovascular system. This role is important to the cardiology department, as this test's results can identify potential issues and get a patient on the road to recovery much faster. If you are passionate about serving others and exploring, a travel cardiovascular tech job through Trustaff may be right for you.
Travel Cardiovascular Tech Qualifications
We already touched on some personality qualifications that a travel ICU nurse needs — such as a sense of adventure, a passion for serving critical care patients and an ability to work under pressure. Because of this, we require one to two years of experience in the ICU before becoming a travel nurse. These developmental years in the field can give you the skills to feel comfortable and confident while traveling from facility to facility.
Trustaff also asks that you have an active license or accreditation that is valid in the state where you will be traveling. This makes the transition much easier. However, as long as your license is active in one of the 50 U.S. states, we can help you out with what additional requirements or certifications you will need where you're going.
Cardiovascular Surgical Tech Duties and Responsibilities
While we already touched on the basic responsibilities of a cardiovascular tech, we can break down the duties even further. Each day can vary depending on the patients' conditions and the needed tests, but in general, a cardiovascular tech is responsible for:
Conducting or assisting in electrocardiograms, pulmonary functions, cardiac catheterizations, lung capacity tests and more
Monitoring patient vitals, specifically their blood pressure and heart rate, throughout the exams
Educating patients on the stress tests
Reviewing test results and analyzing findings with a physician
Preparing and maintaining the diagnostic testing equipment
