  • 1 to 2 years of recent experience in the job's primary care area

  • Preparing, sterilizing and organizing surgical equipment and tools during procedures

  • Keeping track of all the sterilized and nonsterilized instruments and equipment

  • Maintaining inventory and records of the equipment and their working condition

  • Determining if new equipment is needed

  • Decontaminating and disposing of biohazardous materials and medical waste

  • Verifying equipment works properly and getting them fixed if needed
