Travel Operating Room Jobs

Operating room nurses work in a fast-paced environment, working with patients, their families and other members of the healthcare team simultaneously. When you have a job as a travel nurse, you will encounter new hospitals with different technologies and forms of communication. • One to two years of field experience in the operating room

Travel OR RNs usually have several tasks on their plate at once, often exceeding the to-do list of other nursing fields. At the root of the job, these vital nurses are responsible for patient care before, during and after an operation. Some operating room nurse duties may include:

• Working alongside other circulating nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists and surgical technologists

• Storing and updating patient files safely

• Administering medications properly

• Preparing operation instruments

• Educating patients on their operations and aftercare
