The Transplant Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing care for patients before, during and after receiving an organ transplant. The Transplant RN educates patients on their upcoming sugical procedure, how to prepare, and what risks are involved. The Transplant RN will prepare transplant patients for surgery, help during surgical procedure, and provide post-operative care, including monitoring for complications like organ rejections.
