Want to work as a nurse in New Jersey? The state of New Jersey currently only offers permanent nursing licenses, and they are not part of the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC), so you will need to obtain a permanent nursing license directly from the New Jersey Board of Nursing to work there. New Jersey is not currently participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) licensure exchange.
Temporary nursing licenses are not currently offered in the state of New Jersey.
In order to get your permanent nursing license in the state of New Jersey, you will need to apply to the state board and pay a fee of $200. Once all your application requirements are met, and if everything checks out, you will usually receive your permanent New Jersey nursing license within 7-10 weeks.
