How Much Do Nurses Make in North Carolina?

Become a North Carolina Travel Nurse

1. Submit your application and background check

You will need to pay for your application and for a background check to submit to the North Carolina State Board.

2. Provide supplemental materials

You will also need to submit verification of your current license — and original state license if applying for a permanent license — and two completed fingerprint cards.

3. Complete continuing education (CE) requirements

To stay licensed, nurses must complete 640 hours of active practice and 15 contact CE hours every two years.

4. Keep license active through renewal

North Carolina travel nurses must renew their licenses every two years and pay a fee.
